The Development Office structure was introduced at King’s School in 1998 with its main aim being to provide an umbrella organisation, which would enable the three support units of the School – The Friends, Foundation and Old Boys’ Association to work in close harmony for the ultimate benefit of our boys.

The Executive, working in close association with the Headmaster and Board of Governors, is responsible for controlling and authorising all fundraising carried out at King’s School.  This is a critical responsibility, as fundraising must always be carefully managed at all times, ensuring parents are not continually under pressure.

Working for the benefit of our boys

Major fundraising initiatives at King’s School since 1998 have been driven by the Development Office.  The Aquadome Lifestyle and Fitness Centre Appeal in 2001 was an outstanding success raising $1.4M to assist in the financing of a stunning facility, which cost a little under $2M.

In 2005 the Development Office initiated the “Building a Brighter Campus for One and All” Campaign, which helped finance the exciting new “Lighthouse” facility.
